All vehicles are fitted with a live vehicle tracking system. At any time we can see where vehicles are, what speed they are doing and how long they are on site for. This is not a 'big brother' approach but a company that wants to deliver a quality service to their clients.
Reasons for this for example, say a vehicle became stuck in traffic, we can forewarn the site attending or if possible re-route them all from one central location. We can track spend on                                        fuel and divert the nearest vehicle/operatives for emergency work.
Judith Hackitt CBE, Chair of the HSE was recently presented TG20:08, the new technical guidance note for all tube and fitting scaffolding within the UK, at the recent Safety and Health Exhibition held at the Birmingham NEC in May 2009. NASC (National Access and Scaffolding Confederation) marketing manager Neil Tomlinson spent some time with Judith explaining the NASC’s latest guidance and how the HSE had also been closely involved in development of the content.
